C. F. Martin D-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1967), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 228757, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Some minor wear overall but this remains a nicely original '60's D-18, with a better sound than many from this era. For the most part original with no cracks or repairs; some light pickwear to the top mostly below the pickguard and some expected wear to the back of the neck. The pickguard itself is slightly shrunken but has not pulled up. An endpin jack with a lead terminating in a 1/8" mini input jack, perfect for anyone wishing to add a pickup use this instrument on larger stages. Original maple bridgeplate and short-saddle rosewood bridge, good neck angle; plays very well and would make an excellent gigging or recording Dreadnought. Excellent - Condition.
