Item #1905
C. F. Martin D-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1957), made in Nazareth, PA, natural lacquer finish, Mahogany back, sides and neck, spruce top, Brazillian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, blue plastic hard shell case.
Re-finished and re-fretted by Martin in 1996 (paperwork included). Otherwise all original components, including tuners and bridge. While a little shinier than a '57 would normally be expected to be, this guitar has emerged from its rendevous with destiny in the spray booths of Nazereth with its big, airy sound intact.
A great playing and sounding vintage Martin Dreadnought at a more affordable price than an all-original example in similar condition would command.
Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.).
Very clean. Slight amounts of pickwear visible under the finish; virtually no new wear. Excellent Condition.
