Item #4872
C. F. Martin 000-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1957), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 158451, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black soft shell case.
Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 15 1/8 in. (38.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A nice example overall-just some small areas of top wear mostly centered around the back edge of the pickguard. Several tight repaired cracks-top center seam (about halfway up from the edge), standard pickguard crack between B and E strings, one short grain crack on the back off bottom edge. An excellent playing and nicely original example-recent neck set and fretwork, uncut original bridge. Good sounding and a real pleasure to play. Generally Excellent Condition.
