Item #5517
C. F. Martin 000-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1953), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 133921, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back, sides and neck; spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, molded black plastic hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 15 1/16 in. (38.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A super clean and nice original guitar; this 000 has had a recent neckset, refret and new saddle but no other alterations. The original bridge has not been cut down, and all work is at a very high level. There is typical light wear to the finish, mostly on the top where there are a few random scrapes and some pickwear through the finish just south of the pickguard and on the edge of the soundhole. A great sounding guitar and a fine example of why these are considered the classic guitar of their type. Overall Excellent Condition.
