C. F. Martin 00-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1964), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 196399, natural lacquer finish, spruce top, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, brown hard shell case.
Overall length is 38 13/16 in. (98.6 cm.), 14 3/8 in. (36.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). This little Martin is well past its 50 year mark, still going strong and is ready for the decades to come. There have been the typical maintenance repairs; the neck has been reset; the bridge had previously been cut down somewhat and has been reglued. There is a small typical repaired pickguard crack in the top, in the B string area. The tuners have been replaced with modern repro Grover Sta-Tites. There is some top wear below the pickguard and small dings and scratches overall but most of the finish is relatively clean. This guitar is ready to gig, set up with an LR Baggs Lyric pickup system including a soundhole edge volume control, endpin jack and there is a strap button at the heel. Excellent sound and playability, a very nice '60's Martin 00 with a low action and a rather sweet tone. Overall Excellent - Condition.
