C. F. Martin 00-17 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1950), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 114212, natural mahogany finish, mahogany body and neck with rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 1/4 in. (99.7 cm.), 14 3/8 in. (36.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/16 in. (10.3 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). An excellent playing old mahogany 00-size Martin; this guitar has a nice smooth and fairly low action with plenty of saddle-it appears to have had an excellent pro neck reset and refret fairly recently. All original with some old dings, scratches and wear-the finish on the body appears to have been polished out, and there is a small repaire top crack with some blended French polish in the area. The the neck finish is untouched. There is one long deep scratch on the back and the back center seam shows a clean reseal. A sweet sounding guitar, there is a pickup with a mini-jack installed (adaptor included) so the guitar is ready to gig, complete with a modern HSC. Overall Excellent - Condition.
