Item #5902
C. F. Martin 0-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1950), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 114077, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black chipboard case.
Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A beautiful, original guitar-definitely played but never abused! No alterations-uncut original bridge, original openback Kluson tuners, no overspray or tough-up. There is some pickwear through the finish and one notable ding to the top, the tiniest hint of a pickguard crack, otherwise pretty clean overall. Very fine sound, an excellent postwar 0-18 that still has a '40's vibe. Includes the original SSC in very good condition. Overall Excellent - Condition.
