C. F. Martin 0-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1942), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 81933, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black alligator grain chipboard case.
Overall length is 38 in. (96.5 cm.), 13 5/8 in. (34.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). An excellent player with a recent neckset, refret and new bridge. There is a very old overspray over the entire guitar, which is not very heavy and has checked quite a bit over time. There are small nicks, dings and chips but no major finish wear. The original pre-war openback tuners are fully intact; one bushing is changed. This guitar is still scallop braced to the pre-war pattern and has a lot of character and a great sound, much richer than most small body guitars. Overall Very Good + Condition.
