C. F. Martin 0-17 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1940), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 74530, natural mahogany finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This little mahogany Martin is a beautifully original guitar with no major repairs or alterations. There is some visible checking overall, and small dings and chips in the finish the back and sides. The most notable finish damage is a line of small bits of strap burn running down the back, and a spot on the back of the neck behind the 10th fret. Amazingly there no cracks anywhere, which is pretty unusual for an 0-17 of this age. Truly excellent sound, with an uncut original bridge and a conservative recent neck set--this is a very fine 14-fret mahogany Martin, ready for the next 80 years. Excellent - Condition.
