Boss LM-2 Limiter Owned and Used by Tom Verlaine Model Compression and Sustain Effect (1987), made in Japan, serial # 771900, blue enamel finish, aluminum.

There are few pedals more recognizable and universally beloved by guitarists than the Boss line of effects pedals: affordable, produced en masse, and offered in a (now) classic array of bright colors. The LM-2 is a fairly straightforward bread-and-butter utility pedal, offering an easier dynamic transition from bold leads to subtler rhythmic playing; rather than a compressor which squeezes the upper and lower bounds of your input, this smooths over peaks and unwanted distortion without drawing unwanted artifacts out of the signal. The Limiter bears just four knobs (level, tone, release, and threshold) to dial in the desired amount of limiting.

This particular LM-2 spent its life as a stage and studio utility of Tom Verlaine, frontman and guitarist of the legendary New York City rock band Television.

Height is 4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.), 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) width, and 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) .

This pedal is in fully functional condition with minimal traces of cosmetic wear from stage and studio use by Mr. Verlaine. The stickers on the back, as well as the plastic ring around the stomp screw and all four knobs, are all firmly in tact. This pedal does not come with a box, but it does come with a letter of authenticity signed by Patrick Derivaz, Verlaine's close friend and long time musical collaborator from whom we received the pedal. Overall Excellent Condition.
