Boss GE-7 Equalizer Owned and Used by Tom Verlaine Model Equalizer Pedal Effect (1986), made in Japan, serial # 703500, grey enamel finish, aluminum.

There are few pedals more recognizable and universally beloved by guitarists than the Boss line of effects pedals: affordable, produced en masse, and offered in a (now) classic array of bright colors. The GE-7 is a straightforward bread-and-butter utility pedal, placing an additional layer of tone sculpting at your fingertips (or rather feet). This seven-band equalizer ranges from 100Hz to 6.4kH with one additional slider for the overall output level of the pedal. Use it to fine tune the harmonic qualities of your guitar, or try a more drastic eq to center the frequencies of your choice in one click.

While the GE-7 has graced the pedalboards of innumerable players since it debuted in 1981, this particular GE-7 spent its life as a stage and studio utility of Tom Verlaine, frontman and guitarist of the legendary New York City rock band Television.

Height is 4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.), 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) width, and 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) .

This pedal is in fully functional condition with minimal traces of cosmetic wear from stage and studio use by Mr. Verlaine. The stickers on the back are all firmly in tact; the rubber ring around the battery compartment is slightly worn as tends to happen once a Boss battery has been changed a few times, and one little plastic tip on the lowest 100 Hz slider is missing. This pedal does not come with a box, but it does come with a letter of authenticity signed by Patrick Derivaz, Verlaine's close friend and long time musical collaborator from whom we received the pedal. Very Good + Condition. Excellent - Condition.
