Item #6502
Supertone Model Soprano Ukulele, made by Harmony, c. 1925, made in Chicago, natural re- finish, mahogany body with poplar neck.
Overall length is 20 5/8 in. (52.4 cm.), 6 in. (15.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 5/16 in. (5.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/16 in. (36 mm.). A good sounding "Chicago Hawaiian" from the 1920's. There is one long repaired top crack on the bass side of the bridge, well sealed but still visible. One back crack also well sealed. The body has been refinished with a light varnish; the neck is original. A nice little player, a much more rounded sound than most later Harmony ukes. Overall Very Good + Condition.
