Supertone "Idle Hour" Model Soprano Ukulele, made by Harmony, c. 1932, made in Chicago, sunburst lacquer with stenciling finish, birch body, basswood neck with celluloid fingerboard, original canvas soft shell case.
A nice example of the decorated ukes of the early 1930's, with a nicely whimsical canoe scene decal on the face.
Overall length is 20 11/16 in. (52.5 cm.), 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/2 in. (38 mm.).
Very nice all-original condition; decal particularly well-preserved. A lovely example, complete with canvas case. Excellent Condition.
