The Student is a fairly rare amp offered only in 1965; it uses a table-radio derived circuit to pump out 2-3 watts into a single 8" speaker. While having little in common internally with the celebrated JMI vox amps, it shares some of the same cosmetics and is a cool American-made budget amp in its own right. It carries a black tolex covering, the traditional Vox pattern grillcloth, a silver faceplate and single volume control serving two inputs. By 1966 Thomas had moved on to solid-state amps and this model disappeared; it remains one of the line's more endearing creations.

Height is 12 1/4 in. (31.1 cm.), 15 7/16 in. (39.2 cm.) width, and 7 in. (17.8 cm.) deep. This is a nice, clean all-original amp. No alterations, just light wear-most notably to the outer rim of the volume control. A delightfully aggressive little low-watt amp; really rips at "8". A cool "Chip off the old VOX"! Excellent - Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_accd15c3-de11-4411-96a9-c9f3af54cc58.jpg?v=1774330031
