The single pickup, located by the bridge, gives this guitar a much sharper and raunchier sound than many pre-war electrics and this is still a very functional guitar, despite its relatively primitive design.

Tone (a 3-way selector) and volume controls are mounted on either side of the single-coil pickup (some Vega steels of this era already have a humbucking pickup design!) and the pickup can be raised and lowered by thumbwheels. The black and white color scheme has a 'tuxedo' effect and the instrument is striking-looking despite not having much ornament.

Vega electrics are very little known, but this is a good quality guitar fully equivalent to a pre-war Gibson ES-100 or Epiphone Zephyr, and much rarer than either.

Overall length is 39 7/8 in. (101.3 cm.), 14 1/2 in. (36.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 in. (7.6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.).

Excellent all original conditionthe only serious wear is to the VEGA headstock decal, which is flaking. Plays and sounds excellent.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_f39fa141-2751-43c2-a16c-f36200d98233.jpg?v=1774331613
