Incredible full-color stencil of Hula girl on back and ocean wave on front. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBoth the finish and the decorations are in exceptionally fine condition with only very minor wear and flaking. This is an unusually nice example of this model, with a straight neck, exceptional playability, and a deep warm sound. Includes an excellent original hard shell case. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe wooden-body version of Triolian was only briefly available, introduced in late 1928 and discontinued in 1929, quickly replaced by the much more common stamped metal body guitar. The single cone guitars, being far less expensive to produce, ensured the National company's survival during the Depression of the 1930s. This style Triolian is historically significant, representative of both the earliest commercial single-cone guitar and the first wooden body resonator instrument.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 38 3\/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 14 1\/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1\/8 in. (7.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eExcellent overall condition. Relatively minor \"pulling\" of the finish on the coverplate and back of the neck. Minor wear on bass side upper bout edge. Minor fingerboard wear at the first three frets.
