This is a brass-bodied guitar with flat-cut f-holes, variation #3 as per the Brozman book with the sandblasted pattern on the back featuring a double palm trunk with few clouds in the starry Hawaiian sky! Maple neck with single ivoroid-bound dyed maple (ebonized) fingerboard typical of National in this era. Original cone and biscuit with newer saddle, set up \"delta\" style...low action at the first 5 frets, 5-6\/16ths at the 12th for slide clearance. Original nut, tuners, and tailpiece...overall a very nice Style O.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 33 1\/4 in. (84.4 cm.), 14 1\/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1\/8 in. (7.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 13\/16 in. (46 mm.). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBody plating in very good condition; neck finish has substantially more wear and flaking but is fully original. A nearly full length crack in the fingerboard repaired, with some evidence of fret work and restoration on the fingerboard tongue over the body.
