All original with some finish checking and light general wear, with small dings and chips and a little patching by the neck heel. The neck is straighter than most period Kays and has been reset (possibly more than once!) making this is a very good player as these midline Chicago archtops go. There are a couple of small repaired cracks to the original plastic pickguard, but no other notable repairs. Overall a nice example with a very funky sound-the \"speedbump\" pickup is extremely microphonic. With some interesting cosmetic touches like checkerboard body binding and guitar-pick-shaped fingerboard inlay this is a cool and vibey old hollowbody electric.
