The finish is red sunburst all around with a multi-bound spruce top, ladder braced over a maple back and sides. This guitar retailed at $40 in the early 1950's and is a nice working instrument still.

Overall length is 41 3/8 in. (105.1 cm.), 15 1/2 in. (39.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/16 in. (10.3 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

Some average play wear and dings overall; no major damage or repair. All original finish and hardware. This is an exceptionally good player as these Kay flattops go, having had a neckset, new nut and saddle, and the fingerboard rebound. Surprisingly good sound, fairly bright and punchy with plenty of volume. A cool gigging or writing guitar and as good a player as came out of Chicago in the 1950's. Very Good + Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_7d4506a5-f8fa-4339-88ca-e96bb3725356.jpg?v=1774332154
