The "Serenader" brand was owned by New York jobber Bugeleisen & Jacobson, and this striking guitar seems to have been an exclusive to them. While "Cowboy" guitars were common, this design featuring stylized leaping Indians with bows is very unusual. One of the rarer and certainly most attractive instruments of its type.

Overall length is 35 3/4 in. (90.8 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.).

Very fine condition for an early painted guitar; minimal wear, but all original with no damage or repairs. Unlike many decorated "Cowboy" guitars, this is actually quite a playable instrument.
