Even the logo on the headstock is almost identical�the uke also features three-ply top binding and soundhole ring, pearl position dots, and an ebony nut. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\"Sherwood\" was one of Ward's commonly used brandnames for musical products, but very few of their instruments were built by Gretsch, the more usual suppliers being Kay, Harmony, or Valco. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAn interesting and well-made 1950's solid-wood ukulele.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 21 in. (53.3 cm.), 6 1\/4 in. (15.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1\/4 in. (5.7 cm.) deep. Scale length is 13 1\/2 in. (343 mm.). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eVery fine overall�one small repaired top crack, and minimal finish wear and checking.
