(106.7 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/4 in. (641 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.).

This is as superb an example of this guitar (the mid-line Gretsch acoustic archtop) as we have ever seen. The finish still shines; no binding distress, and only light checking and dings. The original frets are still nearly untouched, the neck angle is excellent, and the guitar plays very well with a surprisingly fine sound.

The instrument is very original, with the only alterations being an added strap button on the upper bout, and the pickguard appears to be a well-crafted replacement. This guitar would also sound great with a floating pickup.

This Corsair is one of the very last fitted with the mid-50's style "humped block" fingerboard inlays, and despite its mid-line status is a fairly Rare instrument. A cool and eminently playable piece of Gretsch and Brooklyn history. Excellent + Condition.
