This G-20C \"Custom\" Dreadnought is one of the short-lived company's more engaging creations. With a strinking green-to-natural sunburst, fancy burl maple back and sides and the multi-pointed, engraved plastic-faced Grammer headstock, this is one distinctive looking flat top. At the time this guitar was made, Grammer was owned and run by Ampeg, and this one carries a small stylized \"A\" logo on the headstock. Conjuring up images of spangled polyester pantsuits and slick late-60's Country performers, this guitar is an instant evocation of a lost era of Nashville Gothic. It's also a good-playing guitar, with the typical powerful rhtyhm sound required of a frontman's instrument!\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 40 1\/4 in. (102.2 cm.), 15 5\/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 5 in. (12.7 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 1\/2 in. (622 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3\/4 in. (44 mm.). A nicely original example, like many of these a bit quirky as to detail workmanship, but a solidly mode and fine sounding guitar. There are several splices to the spruce top that have been there forever, and a couple of small repaired cracks to the soundhole rim off the fingerboard. There is some light finish wear overall, and an added strap button at the heel. A cool player with a chunky powerful sound.
