The C-profile neck is the slimmer 1 5\/8\" style used from this time until the end of the '60's but all the other features (old-style neck joint, small pickguard, small control cavity) are still '64 and earlier spec. This guitar mounts one very hot P-90 and chrome hardware (except a nickle vibrato arm) with an exceptionally good neck angle and is a great example of Gibson's liveliest budget guitar. 1965 is the last great year for these guitars, by '66 the design was heavily modified to speed production. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis one has pots dated the 26th week of 1965 and is marked faintly as a factory second, possibly for a small dark finish spot on the top or perhaps for a very faint serial number stamping. The SG Junior was a very popular guitar, with good reason�Gibson may have built a lot of these but not many have survived this nicely!\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 39 1\/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 13 1\/16 in. (33.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5\/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3\/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5\/8 in. (41 mm.). 100% original, very clean overall, finish and plating still shiny. No modifications or repairs, few small finish dings and chips but very little play wear. A great player and a super cool example.
