This is an excellent and unusually accurate early Mastertone conversion to 5-string from tenor, using the original rim and hardware with a ball-bearing archtop tone ring and tube-and-plate flange. It has been fitted more recently with a purpose-built exact repro neck, using the correct 1925 inlay pattern including the \"Mastertone\" logo inlaid in the headstock instead of the engraved fingerboard block. The original parts show some use; there is some wear to the resonator back and the plating, the new neck shows virtually no use. An excellent player and a particularly attractive conversion banjo.
