gibson-lg-0-flat-top-acoustic-guitar-1961-7006
Gibson LG-0 Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1961)
Gibson LG-0 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1961), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 15145, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body, top and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original brown alligator chipboard case.

This is a slightly worn-in but original example of Gibson's least expensive 1960's flat top. The LG-0 features plain all solid wood mahogany construction; the tortoise celluloid bound top is ladder braced with a small 1930's style rectangular rosewood bridge. This one is well used and loved; about as simple as a Gibson gets but still a lovely little guitar.

Overall length is 39 1/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 14 1/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This guitar shows signs of some moderately heavy use with average finish wear overall-dings, dents and scrapes but no cracks or notable repairs. The most visible wear is to the soundhole edge. It remains all original except the screwed-on plastic pickguard has been removed and the requisite holes in the top filled in long ago. A nice player with the flatter 1960-61 neck profile and a warmer tone than many of these. Very Good + Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_106f0b17-2248-4237-b107-28384eb1a1cc.jpg?v=1774330758
