This model is one of the simplest of Gibsons, with one P-90 pickup, a tone and volume knob and not much else! The slab-sided mahogany body carries a cherry finish and the neck joins the body at the 22nd fret, with the entire fingerboard accessible. This is one of the all-time classic rock guitars, with a roaring tone when cranked but also a sweet midrangey bark at lower volume. An old \"New Yawk\" favorite (these were inevitable sightings at CBGB's back in the '70's) and a great playing guitar.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5\/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3\/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11\/16 in. (43 mm.). This guitar is a in excellent playing condition with some average finish wear, mostly small dings and chips overall. The cherry finish has light checking but has faded to a warm russet over much of the instrument. The fittings are original except for a very accurate repro stop tailpiece\/bridge in aged nickel. The electronics are all original with untouched solder joints and the vaunted \"bumblebee\" cap. The black plastic jackplate is still original, which is fairly unusual as most are broken by now! The frets have just had a grind and polish and the nut is a cleanly executed replacement. Besides being well preserved, this Junior is an excellent player, with the expected killer sound. Includes a modern HSC.
