The 1937-42 L-0 was the lowest priced flat-top in Gibson's line, featuring an ebony finish overall, bound top and back, and simple script headstock logo. Differences from the slightly more expensive (at the time) L-00 are cosmetic only, and both models are known for their truly excellent sound and easy handling. This example is well-used but a great player, with a deep, resonant sound for a smaller instrument.

Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This black beauty has some typical top wear and several solidly repaired top and back cracks, but is in perfect playing condition with a period-correct refret and set up. Plenty of saddle; extremely powerful sound. A really nice and versatile player. Very Good + Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_ea2287ba-f484-46a3-bf55-c1d1d4bdb829.jpg?v=1774332524
