This is a typical early 50's style slope-shoulder Jumbo, with a deep and powerful but well-modulated sound. The top has a dark sunburst finish, well-worn but still mostly intact; the mahogany neck is slim and comfortable. Tall, narrow braces and the well-aged spruce top contribute mightily to this guitar's strong tone, tempered by years of play.

This guitar was previously owned by noted Texas songwriter/performer Ray Wylie Hubbard, author of "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother" and many other inspired tunes.

Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 16 3/8 in. (41.6 cm.) width, and 5 in. (12.7 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

Well-worn and very played in, but no major damage except for several old well-repaired back cracks. Good neck angle with plenty of saddle, original bridge and pickguard, and original Kluson deluxe tuners with replaced buttons. Currently equipped with a pickup/preamp system, this is an excellent gigging or recording guitar with tons of vibe. Comes with a newer HSC. Very Good + Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_34543b5e-d5cf-49f3-b4a3-bac2fd299cc5.jpg?v=1774332096
