The instrument's features are typical for 1968 with chrome-plated hardware including the Tune-O-Matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece, and two Gibson humbucking pickups with patent number sticker on the bases. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOther typical features include enclosed Kluson Deluxe tuners with double-ring plastic buttons and the \"amp\"-style black molded knobs. The bound rosewood fingerboard has pearloid block inlay and the nut width is the narrow 1 5\/8\" width adopted in late 1965. This one shows some play time but is still well-preserved for its 50+ years. A great-looking and sounding example.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 41 1\/2 in. (105.4 cm.), 15 7\/8 in. (40.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3\/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3\/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 9\/16 in. (40 mm.). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA nice example overall with some light wear, but all original except for a repro pickguard and old Fender-style strap buttons. The finish shows some typical checking, but the only really notable spot of damage is a worn away area on the back of the neck behind the 10th fret. The tops of the bridge saddles are worn down from contact with players' hands. A very nice and excellent-playing example of a late '60s ES-335, complete in its original case.
