The full 17\" body, a 25 1\/2\" scale and perloid block markers and beveled-edge black pickguard set it above the similar but amateur grade ES-125; the sound made (and still makes) for an exceptionally fine electric archtop at a moderate price. This is a lovely example, used but very well cared for and ready for the next 60+ years.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 42 in. (106.7 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3\/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1\/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3\/4 in. (44 mm.). A very nice, clean example-only light wear with a beautifully preserved finish with some average light wear. It looks like something small was at one point stuck to the headstock face and removed, so there is a small patched spot in the finish right in the center of the face. The tuners are proper repros, and the bridge is correct style but more recent; all other hardware is original. The nickle plating is in exceptionally nice condition and still amazingly shiny. The pickguard mounting blocks have been replaced; they were celluloid and often have deteriorated, but the 'guard itself is original with a small repaired crack at the tip by the fingerboard. This is a wonderful sounding, great playing example of a classic 1950's Gibson, complete with a lovely deluxe period HSC.
