(43 mm.). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis is an excellent player-grade Gibson electric that has been modified from its original form but is still aesthetically consistent with period Gibson norms. It began life as a single pickup ES-125 around 1948, one of the early style models with an all-mahogany body and trapezoid inlay in an unbound fingerboard. At some point it was modified, re-wired into a two pickup guitar in the traditional Gibson manner with a selector switch on the upper bout and individual tone and volume knobs in the expected places. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAll the hardware is newer but vintage-correct style including the twin Lindy Fralin P-90 pickups, switch, wiring, pots, amber bonnet 1950s-style knobs, and rosewood bridge and tailpiece. The tuners are modern re-issues of the openback Klusons the guitar would have had in 1948. There are small areas of wear to the finish overall but nothing too severe. There are a couple of small screw holes from the missing pickguard. The fingerboard has very light divots in the first position and had been neatly refretted. This is a good playing guitar, more versatile than many Gibsons of this period with a good vibe despite the re-working. Includes a somewhat worn black hard shell case.
