This is one of 925 shipped of this model shipped out in 1967, and is in splendid condition overall. The triple-bound spruce top is finished in a dark sunburst with natural mahogany on the back and sides. In this period Gibson's 12-strings were set up with an adjustable saddle rosewood bridge and separate tailpiece. A quirk of this era is the tortoise celluloid pickguard is screwed to the top instead of glued.

This guitar has a nice, comfortable, wide D-profile mahogany neck with unbound dot-inlay rosewood fingerboard. The very long headstock has a gold Gibson logo on the face and sports Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with plastic buttons. This comparatively small 12-string plays and sounds fine; these guitars have an lush open strummed sound that recalls 1960s pop-folk records by groups like the Seekers or the Silkie.

Overall length is 42 1/4 in. (107.3 cm.), 14 1/4 in. (36.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.).

This B-25-12 shows only some light checking and minor wear, a '60s survivor in far better condition than many! There are no cracks or repairs and the only alteration is a strap button added to the heel. The top does show some minor sinking in the center which is pretty much unavoidable on this design but the instrument is solid and plays very well. As nice a one of these as we have had, a super easy player with a nice low action. We do recommend tuning it to "D" instead of up to concert pitch, which was Gibson's original recommendation in the 1960s as well. Excellent Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_3ed83fbc-f811-40e5-b600-a319416424e7.jpg?v=1774335564
