The finish is a cool faded-looking 2-tone sunburst, the neck is dated 10-22-85. The pickup is one of the unusual \"red bobbin\" units seen on Fenders of this period, and considered better sounding-and far scarcer-than the more usually encountered Fender Japan pickups. This is a very cool and relatively scarce '80's Fender, not common on the US market and a fine guitar to boot!\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 38 3\/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 12 3\/4 in. (32.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3\/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1\/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5\/8 in. (41 mm.). Very fine overall with only light wear; a few small dings and chips, light strum marks and a bit of wear to the fingrboard. An excellent playing, great sounding older Fender Japan creation.
