(73 cm.), 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/2 in. (64 mm.).

This old Fender steel has seen some heavy play time but survived well and still sounds great.

The pickup has been rewound at Lindy Fralin's (very common for this model as the original plastic coil form often deteriorates and collapses), and the volume pot has been changed out. All else remains original.

There is general wear overall. The original blonde finish is darkened, but not heavily damaged. At one point three leg holders were attached underneath, leaving a pattern of screw holes on the underside of the body. There is also an odd round hole drilled in the base of the tuner tray adjacent to the third and fourth string tuner posts; there may have been some attempt at adding a pitch-changer of some sort, but no other evidence remains.

This steel is a real Fender relic with a great vibe and lovely tone, still housed in its battered but functional early-pattern tweed case. Overall Very Good + Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_801d29c7-8968-4996-a9b6-3d0e88c7bd24.jpg?v=1774336990
