These are well made and nicely finished, probably the best mainland ukulele family instruments of this era that aren't Martins! All solid mahogany, classical style bridge with bone saddle, bone nut. Simple dot inlay to 15th fret and no binding, neck joins body at 14th fret. Nice old banjo-style friction pegs with white plastic buttons, gold embossed Favilla crest on headstock-stamped "Favilla Bros. New York" on the inside back. The extended Favilla family built instruments in the New York Area for several generations, and their ukes are some of the best. This instrument tunes to guitar pitch with nylon strings.

Overall length is 30 in. (76.2 cm.), 10.25 in. (26 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3.75 in. (9.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 19.25 in. (489 mm.). This instrument shows some fairly heavy checking and some average wear to the finish overall but is a nice player with a good chunky sound. Overall Very Good + Condition.
