Both versions were featured in countless '60's British invasion bands, including the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Manfred Mann and many more, as well as many blues, jazz and pop situations.

This guitar has typical mid-60's features: a bound, pearloid-trapezoid inlaid rosewood fingerboard; chrome pickup covers, nickel plated Tremotone vibrato tailpiece and nickel Tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles. The thin, double-cutaway single-bound body is fully hollow and the neck joins at the 16th fret.

The finish is a very nice light "teaburst" sunburst, the neck is the older 1 11/16 width that would shortly be narrowed, to many player's distaste! It also has the older style 60's style gold plastic "bonnet" metal-capped tone and volume knobs that were phased out in 1966. This guitar has the correct "Beatle" look (closest to George's personal instrument) and despite some condition issues is a good player's example at less than 1/2 the price of a excellent original example.

Overall length is 41 1/16 in. (104.3 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This guitar is a bit of a road warrior, but is a good gigging instrument. There is an old solid headstock repair, finished over but a with a visible splice. The lead pickup is restored to a correct period P-90; there was a humbucker installed previously with some routing involved but now all looks correct. All other hardware is original-the arm is missing from the Tremotone tailpiece. Typically great sound; includes a well-worn period correct HSC with a leather strap installed for a handle. Overall Very Good + Condition.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0672/8702/3756/files/01_fca5889d-c67b-48ea-a3c9-b8b8ad977fbb.jpg?v=1774328465
https://retrofret.com/products/epiphone-casino-e-230td-thinline-hollow-body-electric-guitar-1965-5238
