The Muff Fuzz is a fuzz and line boosting effect: effect, not pedal! It is a box with a single bypass switch from off to \"Boost\" and no footswitch. Set it and forget it. The single boost knob drives the signal adding a thick but always usable layer of fuzzy distortion and gain. This is the V3 of the Muff Fuzz; they were made some years earlier with a different typeface, some with op amps and some with transistors. This particular one belonged to Tom Verlaine of New York City rock band, Television.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eLength is 2 in. (5.1 cm.), 3 1\/2 in. (8.9 cm.) width, and 1 5\/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth at deepest point. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis unique little effect is nicely original with just a bit of general wear and cosmetic scrapes and scuffs. The battery snap may have been replaced, but it is untouched beyond that and sounds great. It comes with a letter of authenticity signed by Patrick Derivaz, Verlaine's close friend and long time musical collaborator from whom we received the pedal.
