Decoding the punny parameter names: \"Cream\" refers to the amount of compression and \"Quarts\" controls the overall output level. The \"Pasteurization\" knob controls a unique function that increases the output of higher frequencies depending on how hard a note is played (in other words, the louder you play, the higher the jump in those frequencies), ostensibly to make sharp sounds cut even more through a mix and compensate for their attenuation when the compressor is engaged. The \"Spill\" knob is a simple attack control for the onset of the compressor.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe High frequency expansion knob especially allows for a wide variety of tones when used at the beginning of the signal chain once you parse its quirky design. Despite its somewhat perverse feeling nature, it's a solid workhorse compressor; this particular Milk Box belonged to Television's Tom Verlaine.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eHeight is 5 in. (12.7 cm.), 3 in. (7.6 cm.) width, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth at deepest point. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis wacky compressor is in excellent condition with minimal, purely cosmetic shows of use here and there and trace amounts of tape residue. The pedal itself is all original and works entirely as it should. It resides in its original DOD box and comes with a letter of authenticity signed by Patrick Derivaz, Verlaine's close friend and long time musical collaborator from whom we received the pedal.
