This guitar uses the same body and neck as the celebrated U-2 \"Jimmy Page\" model but with fancier cosmetics and trim. The body is finished in white lacquer with pebble-grained vinyl sides and the masonite edge dressed away to simulate binding, with a glued-on wooden pickguard. The neck is also finished in white, with a contrasting logo and Kluson deluxe tuners. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Deluxe features the more elaborate Longhorn-style electronics circuit; two pickups with pre-set tone and concentric pots with the on-off \"flipper\" in the upper position. This is a very early example, without the master volume control added around 1962. A great-sounding and seldom seen piece of Neptune cool. We currently have a nifty contrasting walnut brown finished model in stock (stock#3679) that would make for a great set!\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 38 3\/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 13 1\/8 in. (33.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1\/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11\/16 in. (43 mm.). All original with only some minor wear and plating corrosion.
