Martin T-17 Model Tiple (1936), made in Nazareth, PA, natural finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, black tolex chipboard case.

Overall length is 27 9/16 in. (70 cm.), 9 in. (22.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 17 in. (432 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/2 in. (38 mm.). Very nice original condition overall; there is some scratching and wear and two repaired cracks to the back, but the rest of the instrument is fairly clean. There are two very small old grain cracks to the top near the soundhole. This is a good player, with a bit of fretwear but none of the typical bridge or top issues that plague many old tipples. Good strong sound, a nice example of a pre-war mahogany top Martin. Excellent - Condition.
C. F.
