Martin Style 0 Model Soprano Ukulele (1950's), made in Nazareth, PA, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, original gig bag case.

A good example of a 1950's Martin Style O ukulele. Typical features of the era are the longer headstock with the small Martin decal and the Kluson tuners with "keystone" buttons...the same shape used on sunburst Les Pauls! Although these were Martin's least expensive instrument they are built to the company's usual standard and are still considered amongst the best-sounding and playing ukuleles ever manufactured. This one is a very good player and has a particularly sprightly sound for this time period.

Overall length is 21 in. (53.3 cm.), 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 5/8 in. (346 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/8 in. (35 mm.).

Overall nice and all original; one repaired top crack on the lower bass bout and one fairly sloppily repaired (but solid) back crack. Some average finish wear but no major areas of loss. Includes a nice original fabric gig bag. Generally Excellent Condition.
C. F.
