The headstock veneer is also Brazilian rosewood and the tuners are the original Grover Sta-tites. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe 00-18 retailed for $145.00 in 1960, and was still a popular guitar, although as the 60's wore on it would be increasingly overshadowed by the various Dreadnought models. This 00-18 is a pleasant example of a Martin from the last days of the old factory, before the guitar boom lead to greatly expanded production.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 39 1\/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 14 1\/2 in. (36.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1\/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3\/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5\/8 in. (41 mm.). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOverall a nicely original guitar; one very cleanly repaired top crack and several back cracks, pickwear above soundhole, and some odd scratches in the original pickguard. There is general finish wear and dings scattered around the instrument, but no large areas of serious damage. Bridge is original and uncut and the guitar plays very well; this would be a fine choice in a smaller Martin for a performing or recording instrument. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIncludes a very nice original HSC, with some wear but fully functional.
