It shows signs of use, but no markings on the guitar itself. Weaver was a multitalented if sadly overlooked figure in American comedy; a pivotal figure in Spike Jones' City Slickers, writer for MAD magazine, film actor and more. He appeared extensively on TV in the 1950's and '60's, including such favorite shows as BATMAN, The Man from Uncle, Dragnet, The Monkees and many more. Weaver did actually play tenor guitar in the 1950's and '60's; while we can't prove this attribution, we choose to believe that this guitar was once in his hands; it's more fun that way!\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 35 5\/8 in. (90.5 cm.), 13 5\/8 in. (34.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1\/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 23 in. (584 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1\/4 in. (32 mm.). This guitar has some average wear overall; there is an area on the lower treble bout on the top with several repaired cracks that has been overfinished but the rest of the guitar is original. Recent neck reset, a good player with a pleasant soundm and apparently an interesting history! Very Good + Condition.","brand":"C. F.
