Martin 0-17 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1943), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 86053, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.

A lovely wartime 0-17, showing much less wear then most. Light and super responsive, an all-mahogany wonder with a lovely feel and sound.

Overall length is 38 1/2 in. (97.8 cm.), 13 5/8 in. (34.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This is a very clean guitar overall with only some light wear and scuffing overall and no cracks or major repairs. There are numerous dings on the unbound edges, and a few small dings on the back of the neck, one deep enough to be more noticeable than the rest. The only alteration is a very fine refret and the original wartime openback strip tuners have been replaced with 1950's Kluson Deluxes-probably in the 1950's! With a recent neckset and refret this is an excellent player with a very fine, even sound. Overall Excellent Condition.
C. F.
