While the 0-15 was listed as having a dull finish, this 1961 example actually has a good sheen to it and looks pretty much indistinguishable from an 0-17. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOther typical period features include a tortoise celluloid pickguard, small rosewood bridge with a bone saddle and openback Waverly tuners with plastic buttons. The 0-15's mahogany top gives a generally tighter tone than spruce, and this is often a benefit today as these guitars amplify extremely well, making excellent stage instruments. Perfect for performing, songwriting, or just general use, this 0-15 is a very good bargain in a nearly 60 year old Martin.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eOverall length is 38 1\/2 in. (97.8 cm.), 13 5\/8 in. (34.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1\/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3\/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11\/16 in. (43 mm.). This is a very clean and nicely original guitar, now a perfect player with a fresh neckset but no other major repairs. The original finish shows small dings and dents but no checking at all and not a lot of signs of play. The most notable defects are a couple of deeper dents to the top edge just under the pickguard and one tiny grain split on the side at the apex of the lower bass bout. A very responsive guitar with a lot of sound for a small-body mahogany instrument. Includes a very well-preserved original chipboard case. Excellent + Condition.","brand":"C. F.
