Fender Precision Bass Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1981), made in Fullerton, California, black finish, ash body, maple neck, black gig bag case.

Overall length is 46 in. (116.8 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 11/16 in. (4.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

A nice example of a late-CBS era Precision, with a maple neck and the black-on-black finish typical of the era. The bass is relatively clean overall with some light play wear; the face shows only slight disturbance to the finish and scuffing to the pickguard. On the back there is a fairly deep "curly cord Burn" spot on the edge of the waist-cut area and a bit on the upper horn, through the finish in the typical pattern these old vinyl cords left behind when in prolonged contact with the instrument.

There are also two areas of old dulling to the finish where it looks like the instrument sat in a damp case (on the bottom edge and the lower horn) and the fabric pattern is impressed into the finish faintly. Overall these are minor imperfections; this is a very good-looking, playing, and sounding bass with the bright mid-rangey growl typical of this era. Includes a Fender-branded gig bag. Overall Excellent - Condition.
