Vox Phantom VI Model Solid Body Electric Guitar, c. 2000, made in USA, blue lacquer finish, hardwood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, original black rigid foam case.

This very fine re-issue of the classic 1960s Vox Phantom is one of a very limited line marketed between 1997 and 2001 by Korg (owner of the Vox marque) and North Coast music of Minneapolis in the US. These were custom tooled to a high degree of fidelity to the originals, the main differences being a 5-way pickup selector, Bigsby vibrato and heavier Gotoh bridge.

This one is a particularly attractive Sonic blue finish, the rarest of the original '60s Vox UK colors. A neat guitar; part of a very limited run and very rare, especially in this color.

Overall length is 40 3/4 in. (103.5 cm.), 10 1/2 in. (26.7 cm.) across at the widest point, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

Hardly played. It is basically just one small chip on the bottom edge, as well as a bit of scraping to the pickguard under the bridge adjustment wheels, away from unused near mint condition. Really an excellent-playing and sounding guitar that retains a lot of the character of the UK-made '60s original. Includes a Vox-branded hard fabric case. Excellent + Condition.
