Favilla Soprano Ukulele (1950s), made in New York City, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, gig bag case.
Overall length is 20 7/8 in. (53 cm.), 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/16 in. (5.6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 1/2 in. (343 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/16 in. (36 mm.).
This uke shows some general wear to the finish, with dings and scrapes mostly to the top, back, and edges. There are no visible cracks except a small seam separation on the lower treble side waist and a couple of tiny grain marks on the sides. It is a very nice player with an easy action and nice mellow sound like most of these little New York gems, which are generally the best "non-Martin" vintage 1950s ukulele. Overall Very Good + Condition.
