Gibson SG Angus Young Signature Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2007), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 022770341, cherry lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 1/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 9/16 in. (4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 1/2 in. (622 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.).
Very clean overall except for a multiple-spot case of "strap burn" where a vinyl-backed strap was left in contact with the finish for some time, leaving some areas of finish melt. One of these is on the face just above the bridge, the rest on the back and back edge below the strap button. Other than this, the guitar is complete and original, showing only very light signs of use (mostly scuffing to the pickguard), and plays and sounds as it should.
This model is a quite accurate re-issue of the Angus-approved 1967-era SG Standard with distinctive features including the large pickguard with the humbucking pickups mounted to it, dark cherry finish, chrome hardware including a long-plate Maestro Vibrola, and a 1 5/8" nut width. Angus' name is engraved on the Vibrola baseplate and his caricature glyph adorns the headstock. One of the nicer (and reasonably priced) of modern Gibson tribute instruments, complete with the original case and some paperwork. Excellent - Condition.
